About

A CS student from Belgrade, Serbia. An Ubuntu GNU/Linux enthusiast and volunteer…

I was born on 20. September, 1985. in Belgrade, Serbia. Early in my childhood I became interested in computers and new technologies. My first contact with a computer took place when I was 7. It was a Commodore 64 that I mostly used for playing games. I got my first PC at the age of 10.

There is a saying that everything is broken and needs to be repaired. If it’s not, then it’s only a matter of time when it’s going to break down. So, naturally, my computer broke down many times and I tried to repair it all by myself which was a great chance to learn the basics of computer structure.

In elementary school I was one of the initiators of the Computer Sciences section.

During the high school days I earned my first programming skills and wrote first lines in Pascal. My graduation thesis was “Introduction to HTML”.

Currently, I am a student at the Department of Computer Sciences, School of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. My main area of interest is computer architecture and organization.

Outside of school I have been participating in other activities, too. During elementary and high school I was a member of the rowing club Red Star. I also took Irish step dance lessons and was in the first troupe of Merry Sisters and Brothers. We performed in several cities in Serbia. I worked at the Youth Press Agency within Belgrade’s Center for Children’s Rights and participated in transformation of this group into a non-governmental organization Youth Takes Action.

I like spending spare time with my friends. I also enjoy listening  all kinds of music, as VH1 said “from alternative to RnB, from heavy rock to pretty pop.” I enjoy watching a good movie from time to time. My all-time favorites are: Ice Age, Ice Age 2, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Chicago, Rocky Horror Picture Show, About a boy, Forrest Gump. I’m a faithful member of  Cartoon Network’s audience. My favorite cartoons are Dexter’s Laboratory, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Power Puff Girls.
